The history of the Manoir du lac William
The year 1992 was a turning point in the Lessard's family history. At that time they had a sport store across from the Manor. It was in the year 1992 that the Lessard family acquired the Manor. That was the start of a grand adventure for Céline & Marcel, Franco, Sylvie and Nathalie. Young and very dynamique they progressively built it up into the tourist destination for all the province that it is today.
At the start of 1993, The Manoir du lac William takes on face lifting operation. Phases 1 and 2 are started. At the start a basement and a second floor was built. Two multifunctional rooms were added on to the building. Then the existing 8 rooms were torn down and rebuilt and then as many more room were added,
In 1999, the old sports store operated by the Lessard family converted into a pavilion with 6 new spacious room. The year was marked by all kinds of changes. Mainly the bettering of the fish hachery on a neighbouring lot to the Manor.
In 2002, 10 years after acquiring the Manor, a major investment permitted the rearrangement of the existing infrastructures. The building of 13 superior quality rooms. The inlargement of the dinning room and the multifunctional hall. The acquisition of new nautical equipment for in and outdoors, the construction of a nice health center.
The Manor has become a success and a great family pride.
